Fr. Karg visited our classroom and blessed our throats as a part of Saint Blaise.

Catholic Schools Week - FRIDAY

We enjoyed an assembly that focused on thanking others. We thanked Father Pfeiffer, Father Karg, and Deacon Amedeo for leading us in the light of Christ. they guide us through weekly Mass, classroom visits, and daily example.

We also presented the First Responder Care Packages to Police Chief Nice and Fire Chief Tucker. A central aspect of Catholic education is learning the importance of service to others. When students take part in service activities -- both local and beyond -- they demonstrate the values and faith they gain through their Catholic education and learn how to make the world a better place. When they observe how others serve the community, they gain an appreciation for how they can continue to serve others their entire lives.

Catholic Schools Week - THURSDAY

We participated in Mass in honor of Candlemas. Fr. Pfeiffer blessed our candles and we processed from the PAC into the Church. After Mass we made our candle projects.

Catholic Schools Week - WEDNESDAY

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District taught us about how plants use water each day. We learned about impervious and pervious surfaces, and how they help and harm our environment. We also learned about rain gardens/rain barrels and soil boxes.

Mr. Doug, from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District explained the importance of bugs to us.

Catholic Schools Week - TUESDAY

The Akron Fire Department visited us and discussed the importance of fire safety in our homes. We learned that anyone living in Akron can receive smoke detectors for FREE! We also learned about the importance of having a family plan on where to meet outside of the house in case of fire
