Dietzel Diary - Christmas Break

Dietzel Diary
News from Kindergarten ~ Saint Paul School
http://kindercubs-saintpaul.blogspot.com

A BIG thank you to all the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles that helped make our birthday party for Jesus a success.  Thank you also to everyone who attended our Christmas Program on Tuesday evening.  We had so much fun on Pajama Day watching the Polar Express and getting a reindeer bell from Santa!  We had a GREAT week!

NEXT YEAR REMINDERS….
v  It is very important that your child arrive at school on time.  Students should be dropped off between 7:30-7:45 AT THE BACK OF THE SCHOOL on Greenlawn.  If your child is not IN the classroom by 7:50, they will be tardy.  It is an important part of your child’s development to have an opportunity to freely visit with their friends before we start our academics.  When they arrive late, they miss talking with their friends, free play exploration, prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance.
v  We will be attending Mass every other week.  You are always welcome to join us at 8:30 Mass on Friday mornings.
v  We will no longer be taking “quiet time” each day.  Therefore, there is no need to send towels in each week.  We will be using the time to explore books and enjoy silent reading time together (that includes me modeling that adults read for fun, too)!
v  Every child needs to bring a snack EVERY day.  We will continue to have snack in the mornings.
v  Please be sure to send appropriate outdoor attire for your children to wear during recess.  Even when it is cold outside we still enjoy the fresh air, but it is not fun if you are cold.
v  During the Christmas break please be sure to keep your child reading and practicing their math skills.  The websites for Raz-Kids, SuperKids, and MobyMax can be accessed quickly by going to our Kindercub website – http://kindercubs-saintpaul.blogspot.com .  If you are having difficulties logging in, please send me an e-mail at dietzelr@saintpaulakron.org

Have a wonderful Christmas season with your families and friends!
